What is new at Faithwebsites related to design?

Flash Banners
Most of you have a customized banner graphic at the top of your web site that includes your logo, your colors and other text or graphics specifically for your organization. Now, you have the ability to make your banner graphic come alive with some movement by upgrading to a new Flash Banner. To see some examples, go to:

If you have any Flash designers on staff, you can design and upload these graphics on your own. If you want the FWS design team to build a Flash Banner, our fee is $249. If you would rather have your current static banner redesigned for a completely new look or add a static banner to your site for the first time, our fee is $149.

New Graphics – Promo Graphics
Sometimes the difference between a good site and great site can be the use of some small graphics rather than only text on your site. Many of you use your right side bar to highlight news stories, new ministries or other items of significance. You can highlight these items with some simple text OR you can make these really jump out by adding professional looking promo graphics. To see examples of these small promo graphics, go to:

Faithwebsites currently has three options for sources for promo graphics:

Design your promo graphics internally - FREE
Use promo graphics from the FWS Promo Graphic Library - FREE (In order to get access to this free libarary, we ask that you first take our short survey. It is definitely worth the 60 seconds it will take to fill out the survey!!)
Have the FWS design team build a customized promo graphic for your organization - $30 per promo graphic

New Template Color Options
Are you looking to give your web site a fresh look but don’t want to spend a lot of time or money to do so? You may want to consider changing the colors used on your web site. If you go to the Settings area of your web site, you will find that we added 12 new color themes to choose from (Template 12-23). These new colors will give your site a fresh and modern look. You can view these templates before adopting one of them by clicking on the View link next to the Color Themes drop down.

Important Notes:

If your organization is already using the Custom option for colors, we recommend that you contact us at info@faithwebsites.com before you change to another template. By making this change, your customized colors (hand-picked for your design) will be lost.
If you change your color theme, it may be a good time to re-design your banner graphic as it may not match your new color choice. Go to http://www.faithwebsites.com/banners to see several samples of static banners.

Top Navigation Links
Are you aware that rather than having your navigation menu occur only on the left of your site, you can have it on the top of your site as well? At Faithwebsites, we have been offering the top navigation link option for quite some time; however, we are not sure everyone realizes this option exists and we have made further enhancements to this offering. We have developed three short videos that explain what top navigation links are, how they are useful and how you can set them up on your site. New Template(s)
If your organization is using our free design template, your home page probably has a banner graphic at the top (with your logo, graphics, etc.), has your links along the left side of the page, a slideshow in the body of your page and your upcoming events in your right side bar. While this information is valuable and the the template displays this information in a clean and professional manner, we recognize that you may be looking for something different. Therefore, we recently completed a brand new template and are planning to build more templates if there is a demand to do so. To see these templates, click on the following links:

- This template was recently added. Note the location of the links, the upcoming events, what’s new items, etc.

While the new templates will offer you more options, we believe that it is the Flash banners, promo graphics and other little add-ons that make the sites really stand out.

A final option to consider is a completely customized graphic design. While a custom design is typically more expensive, it will allow you the flexibility to have the site you want.
