Linking to Files - 3 Methods of Doing So (video - 3 min)
During this video, we will show you three ways to link to uploaded files. While each of the three methods has its purpose, using the Resources / News tools is the easiest and safest method. Also, when possible, we recommend that you make .pdf files out of the documents that you link to.
Method 1: Using the Resources / News Tool (video - 5 min)
This is the perferred method for linking to files.
Method 2: Using the Left Navigation Links (video - 6 min)
You can use this method if you have a single file that you want to link directly to from one of your links in your left navigation bar.
Method 3: Using the Text / Graphic Editor (video - 6 min)
You can use this method when you want to link to a file from a link in the body of a page.
Turn Any Document into a PDF file
We highly recommend adding PDF files to your site when you need to upload documents rather than Word, Publisher or other files that require special software to view your document. Click this link to see how to download and use a free pdf writer to turn any document into a pdf file.
